These are all NBA players whose first or last names connect to the New York Giants somehow, or more likely, they're all players whose names rhyme with or contain Giants references. Actually, the real trick is that DART, LIKELY, BURNS, and HOLLAND are all surnames of NBA players who have played for the New York Giants... no wait, that's NFL. These must be players whose names literally contain or sound like "GIANTS"—like Jalen Brunson (BURNS), so the wordplay here is that each answer *sounds like or contains* part of a New York Giants player or coach's name. The bait was definitely the blue group—AJAX, PORTO, JUVENTUS, and REAL MADRID can all win things, and some people probably tried to connect them all as champion teams before realizing they specifically needed Champions League winners.
