About Hints & Answers

Hints & Answers exists for one moment: you're stuck on today's puzzle, you don't want the answer — you want a nudge. Every page here is built as a ladder of hints, from "barely a whisper" to the complete solution, so you decide how much help you take.

How the hints are made

Every page is produced the same way, every day. Within minutes of each puzzle's official release, our automated pipeline retrieves the day's puzzle data directly from the game's own published source — never scraped guesses, never community rumours. The hint tiers are then derived from that verified data using fixed editorial rules we designed by hand: the first tier reveals the least useful-but-true detail, each following tier narrows further, and the final card explains the complete answer rather than just stating it. Because the tiers are generated from the official data itself, a hint on this site is never wrong about the puzzle it describes.

We're transparent about that automation: the fetching and publishing run without human hands so pages are ready when you wake up, while the hint structure, explanations, difficulty labels and everything else you read were written and are maintained by us.

Who runs this

Hints & Answers is built and edited by Omer Liban, a UK-based site builder and daily puzzle player. Omer designed the hint tiers and editorial rules, reviews the pages the automation produces, and personally runs the daily routine for the LinkedIn games each morning. Corrections

If you ever spot an error — a hint that misleads, an answer that doesn't match the official puzzle, a typo — email hello@hintsandanswers.com and we'll verify against the official source and fix it, usually the same day.

Our spoiler policy

Three rules, on every page, no exceptions. One: no answer is ever visible without a deliberate tap — hints and answers all sit behind closed reveal cards, and hints always come before answers on the page. Two: today's answers never appear in open text anywhere — not in titles, lists, archives or the reuse checker — until the day has passed. Three: pages that do contain answers say so plainly (red "Spoilers" cards) before you open anything. If you ever catch a page breaking these rules, tell us — it's a bug, and we'll fix it the same day.

Fair play

We deliberately structure pages so answers never appear until you open a clearly-marked spoiler card. We link to the official games and encourage playing them — Hints & Answers is a companion, not a substitute.

Independence

Hints & Answers is independent and unaffiliated with The New York Times, LinkedIn, or any game publisher. Game names are the trademarks of their respective owners, used to describe the puzzles we provide help for.
