The puzzle, explained

The purple group is all about the first word you say when naming iconic MLB ballparks: Globe Life Field (Rangers), Great American Ball Park (Reds), Citizens Bank Park (Phillies), and Sutter Home Park (Giants). The trickiest part is that GLOBE, GREAT, CITIZENS, and SUTTER don't obviously scream "baseball" on their own—you have to know the actual stadium names to crack it. GEORGE and WHITE were probably your biggest distractions since they're Celtics players (Paul George and Derrick White), but they also could've felt like they might fit somewhere else, which is exactly what makes this puzzle tough. TATUM and PRITCHARD are pretty clearly Boston guys, so they were less of a trap, but that GEORGE and WHITE combo really sold the misdirection.
