The main baits were probably BALLS and POTS, which seem like they should connect to Champions League draws but are actually part of the blue group—plus GROUP STAGE could easily feel like a general soccer term rather than something that was *removed* from the Champions League specifically. If you picked MIDWEEK FINAL, you might've been thrown off thinking it was about big matches in general, but it's referring to the old format where finals were sometimes held midweek instead of on Saturday.
