The puzzle, explained

The purple group is all players who won the UEFA European Championship—Panenka (Czech Republic, 1976), Chiellini (Italy, 2020), Ronaldo (Portugal, 2016), and Fàbregas (Spain, 2012)—but the real trap here is that "PANENKA" looks like it belongs with the blue group since a panenka is a famous penalty kick technique, which would've made sense alongside PENALTY, FREE, CORNER, and GOAL as types of kicks. The trickiest part is that these are names disguised as common soccer terms, so your brain wants to categorize them by function rather than by what they actually are—especially when "PENALTY" and "PANENKA" are so closely linked in soccer lore that they practically beg to be grouped together.
