The puzzle, explained

The purple group works because these are all the official national training centers for their respective countries—St. George's Park for England, DFB Academy for Germany, Clairefontaine for France, and Cidade do Futebol for Portugal. The trickiest part is that CLAIREFONTAINE and CIDADE DO FUTEBOL don't sound like facility names at first glance, especially if you're not familiar with international soccer infrastructure. The main bait here was probably the Dutch clubs group, since TELSTAR and GO AHEAD EAGLES could've tempted you if you thought there might be a "famous Dutch soccer places" category, or you might've second-guessed whether some of these training centers were actually club academies instead. SUPER CUP was also sneaky because there's a UEFA Super Cup, so it could've seemed like it belonged with the yellow group even though it's technically separate from the main UEFA competitions list.
