MESSY was a pretty tough one today because of that double S in the middle and end—if you didn't get those positioned right, you could easily waste guesses thinking the letters were somewhere else entirely. The vowel situation didn't help much either, since E and Y are your only vowels and Y doing double duty as a vowel at the end is always a bit of a curveball. A lot of people probably got hung up trying common words with those letters before landing on the right double-letter pattern, especially since repeated S's aren't super common in everyday Wordle answers. Still, if you started with a word that had both vowels and kept the pattern in mind, you had a decent shot at cracking it.
