The puzzle, explained

BURST was a tricky one because it's got that uncommon U vowel sitting right in the middle, which throws off a lot of people's usual starting guesses. The double challenge is that S and T are both super common letters, so they might've already appeared in your previous guesses, making it harder to spot them in this new position. The real trap here is that BURST doesn't have any of those frequent letters like E, A, or O, so if you burned through guesses on vowel-heavy words, you were essentially starting from scratch. On the bright side, once you got that U locked in, the B and R are pretty distinctive letters that don't hide in tons of other words, so it wasn't impossible—just demanding.
