The puzzle, explained

SOUPY was a tricky one because that double vowel combo at the start—O and U back-to-back—really limits your opening guesses, especially if you burned through common consonants first. The Y as a vowel at the end is always a bit of a curveball in Wordle, so unless you were specifically thinking of words ending in -PY, you might've taken a few tries to land on it. On the flip side, once you had those first three letters locked in, the P and Y practically fell into place, so it wasn't brutally hard if you got past that initial vowel wall. Definitely one of those answers where your strategy of vowel-hunting early either paid off big or cost you a guess.
